Let's BBQ Card
This patriotic card takes advantage of PP003 Star punch pattern and the AC002 Alignment Guide. On the front, stars were punched 1.5"
apart, and rows are .75" apart vertically. "Lets BBQ" was stamped with red ink, and complementing stars were stamped randomly in yellow ink on both the
"star" and "Lets BBQ" pieces. This card is perfect for summer picnic/BBQ layouts and 4th of July party invitations.

Two-Tone Flower Card
This is a super simple card to make that doesn't look it. To create the two-tone look, choose two coordinating pieces of paper. Cut one of the pieces
so it is half as wide as the other piece and glue it on top of that piece. Then simply punch the PP002 Flower in the middle. Then cut two more
pieces a little larger than the first ones. Again cut one of the pieces in half and glue it on top of the other piece. Then adhere the smaller punched-out
piece to this larger one. You can further decorate the card by attaching more two-tone flowers with eyelets along the bottom.

Apple Punch with Ribbon
This is a very easy card and the concept can be used with any of the other punch shapes.
Glue down a ribbon vertically close to the left margin of the card. Cut a small square out of the same paper as the card and punch the PP008 Apple
in the middle. Cut a piece of vellum a little larger than this piece. Adhere the pieces to the card with 2 eyelets on diagonal corners. |
|
Apple Punch with Shadow Stamp
This quickie card is perfect when you find yourself pressed for that last-minute card. Trim the left edge of the top sheet using a deckle blade.
Using a shadow/block rubber stamp, stamp a square in the middle of the
top sheet in the same color but a darker shade than the paper. Punch the PP008 Apple, or any other punch, in the middle of that stamped square.
Tie the top and bottom pieces together with ribbon. |
|
Bear with Balloons
Punch out 3 PP001 Hearts for the balloons and a PP012 Teddy Bear from the top sheet.
Using a pen that is the same color as the background or bottom paper,
draw little triangles at the bottom of each heart and "connect" them to the teddy bear's hand.

Embossed Spring Scene
This cheerful spring card is sure to brighten one's day. Emboss 3 EP001 Flowers along the bottom of your card, and a EP005 Sun near the upper left corner.
Then use a shadow/block rubber stamp, and ink each embossed image in an appropriate color. The raised or embossed part gets more of the ink which makes the
image stand out great. This is a useful technique for other dry embossed applications. Punch a PP011 Butterfly, and then working backwards from
its tail, punch a "trail" using the PP013 1/8" Circle.

Just For You
With the wide ribbons and red tag, this card looks like a gift just waiting to be opened! We chose a metallic paper that really shows
the EP006 Spiral embossed images well. We also punched some PP013 1/8" Circle on the tag and the metallic paper.

Thank You Squares
Create a checkerboard by using the PP004 Rounded Square and the AC002 Alignment Guide. The squares are 1.5" apart horizontally, and
the rows are .75" apart vertically. Stamp fun images in the "positive" squares left to coordinate with the stamped greeting. |

Flower Card
This is an easy card to make, making it perfect for invitations and announcements. The middle sheet was cut to size 1" smaller than the bottom sheet,
then randomly punched with the PP002 Flower punch pattern. The top sheet, in this case, medium weight vellum, was cut to size .5" smaller than the bottom sheet.
An announcment or invitation can be printed on the vellum before it is cut and attached to the card. The same punch was used on colored cardstock to
generate the 3 flower cutouts. The 3 sheets and the 3 flower cutouts are attached together using various colored eyelets.

Joyce and Kevin Engagement card
This multi-page engagement card is a little more work, but well worth the effort.
The AC002 Alignment Guide was used to punch out the squares on each page exactly where they needed to be, using the PP004 Rounded Square punch
pattern. Only 1 layer was punched at a time, starting with the top page which has the least squares, and ending with the bottom page with the most squares.
The 3 pages were stamped with the same heart stamp but colored differently for consistency and at the same time, variety.
On each page are two additional hearts created with the PP001 Heart punch pattern - one heart is punched out and one heart cutout is glued on.
On the fourth and last page, which was adhered to the back of the third page, the words - Joyce, Kevin and Love - have been stamped in
coordinating colors. The top 2 pages were then perforated .5" from the top margin for easy flipping, and all 4 pages were attached together with eyelets.

Elegant Star Card
This card is literally a 2-minute card. Choose three coordinating papers. Cut squares from two of the pieces, one slightly larger than the other. Punch
an image, in this case, the PP003 Star, on the smaller square. Adhere the squares to the main card with eyelets.

Christmas Tree Card
This card is absolutely arresting! It's simple to make too, with the use of the AC002 Alignment Guide.
The large Christmas Tree is formed by 5 rows of punched trees, using the PP005 Evergreen Tree
punch pattern. The PP003 Star punch pattern was used to make the star tree topper,
and the PP004 Rounded Square punch pattern was used to form the "tree trunk" and the cutouts
for the letters P-E-A-C-E.

Winter Wonderland
This beautiful scene is quickly created and makes a wonderful holiday card cover or backdrop
for an outdoor winter scrapbook page! Here we’ve chosen vivid blue and green papers for the sky
and earth portions of the card. Draw and cut a curved outline representing the horizon on your
sky and earth pieces. Trim these pieces to size so they fit nicely on your white background paper,
with margins all around and in between.
To create the snow-covered trees, randomly punch the green paper with the PP005 Evergreen Tree
punch pattern. To create the snowdrops, randomly punch both the green and blue paper with the
PP013 1/8” Circle punch pattern. Punch out some stars with the PP003 Star punch pattern
and adhere them on to the blue paper. |

An Ode of Sorts
This is a really cute and funny "book" card, so you just have to click to see the whole card. The front
of the card is embossed all over with the EP002 Heart emboss pattern. A square piece of vellum was cut
with a deckled edge, punched in the middle with the PP001 Heart punch pattern, and then attached to
the card with eyelets. The title, "An Ode of Sorts to My Love", sets up the fun and corny tone of the
rest of the card.
This card is composed of 5 different colored sheets of paper, each sheet being twice the size of the finished square.
Each sheet is then scored in the middle, and the right half of the sheet is attached to the left half of
the next sheet, forming a booklet.
For example, the right half of the red sheet is punched with a single PP008 Apple in the center,
and attached to the left half of the green sheet, so the green shows through the "apple of my eye".
Next, the right half of the green sheet is punched evenly with stars using the PP003 Star punch pattern,
and attached to the left half of the purple sheet. And so on and so forth. The other two punches used are
the PP011 Butterfly and the PP002 Flower punch patterns.
Centering the apple, lining up the stars, and making the butterfly corners, were all made
easily with the AC002 Alignment Guide. You can make this booklet as long and corny as you want!

Baby Shower Invitation
Make this cheerful card to announce a baby's arrival, to congratulate the new parents, or to invite
friends to a baby shower. Choose two coordinating pieces of paper. Punch 4 stars with the PP003 Star
punch pattern randomly along the left side of the top piece. Use a blade to cut a hole for a baby-related
stamp image on the lower right-hand corner. Adhere the top sheet to the bottom with ribbons or eyelets.
Stamp or write the letters B-A-B-Y inside each star. Stamp an appropriate baby image inside the square.
Write the pertinent information regarding the baby or shower in the upper left-hand corner
on the bottom sheet.

Autumn Card
This card is as beautiful as it is simple and earthy - perfect for an autumn card or Thanksgiving invitation. We chose 4 different neutrally colored pieces
of paper, and used a deckle blade to cut the "bookmarks" on the front and left inside page, as well as to trim one margin of the card. Using the
AC002 Alignment Guide, we punched out 4 evenly spaced leaves from both bookmarks using the PP006 Maple Leaf punch pattern. We also randomly
punched the left half of the front of the card with the same punch. We glued the cutouts that were generated to the inside of the card. The rafia ribbon
ties the card together and adds to the card's earthy tones.

Johnsonville Swim Team Invitation
The rectangles on the front of this invitation/announcement card was stamped using 4 different vibrant colors. Each rectangle was punched with the
PP010 Splat punch pattern. The resulting splat cutouts were then inlaid in the rectangle next to it; i.e. the splat cutout from the green rectangle
was inlaid in the splat hole in the yellow rectangle.

Coffee Cup Emboss
When using the embossing patterns on vellum, the vellum wrinkles and turns white. This isn't necessarily desirable, but works well in this card with the
EP004 Coffee Cup image. Simply emboss the coffee cup randomly all over the vellum. Cut a square out of the same paper as the card and emboss a
coffee up in the middle. |
|
Embossed Flowers Card
Trim the top layer of the card with a deckled blade so that it is .5" smaller than your finished card size, which in this case is a 5” square.
Using a perforating blade, make vertical and horizontal lines every 1.25", making sure to center the lines on your page.
On each of the resulting squares, emboss the EP001 Flower image. To make the embossed images stand out, apply a little rub-on chalk to
the images. For added emphasis, tear out the middle square and emboss the Holly image on the main layer of the card.

Christmas Story Book
This storybook card is fun yet conveys a meaningful message that you can tailor to your own preferences.
Choose coordinating papers and cut each piece to twice the finished card size.
In this case, the card is a 5” square shape, so each piece is cut to 5” x 10”. Score or perforate each piece in half.
Choose one of the pieces to make up the first and last page of the card, and cut this piece in half.
Using one of the 5” square pieces, make a Christmas tree using the PP005 Evergreen Tree and PP004 Rounded Square punches.
It is easy to exactly place the individual punches making up the Christmas tree using the AC002 Alignment Guide accessory.
On a 5” x 10” piece, randomly punch PP012 Teddy Bears on the right side of the score. Adhere the Christmas tree piece to the front of this one.
On another 5” x 10” piece, create a starry night scene by randomly punching PP003 Stars and PP013 1/8” Circles on the right side of the score.
On the last 5” x 10” piece, punch out evenly spaced PP001 Hearts 1.25” apart on the right side of the score,
using the AC002 Alignment Guide.
Write messages on each page and glue it all together, with the left side of each page forming the background of the page before.
Glue the other 5” square piece to the back of the last page.
